Archos Gamepad visits US in February

It is no secret that tablets are used for playing games. A lot of manufacturers are building specific gamepad into tablets, especially Android tablets. Archos, a French company is bringing its GamePad Android Tablet to the US in February. The price ? $169.

The Gamepad has been available in Europe for quite some time now. So, it is not new. However, it was never released for the US market. Now, you will be able to buy it in US stores, starting February 2013.

What is so special about this gamepad ? Here is a great description and specs from ARMDevices via Liliputing :

While most Android games are designed for touchscreen displays, Archos offers a button-mapping tool that lets you move the action to the sides of the screen.
Those buttons can also come in handy if you’re running emulators to play classic Nintendo, PlayStation, or other games. I’ll just go ahead and assume that you’ve legally purchased those games and ripped them yourself rather than downloading them from the internet.
The GamePad features a 1.6 GHz Rockchip RK3066 dual core processor, Mali 400 graphics, a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 8GB of storage, and Android 4.1 software.
Look for Archos Gamepad in February 2013!
